Elon Musk Turns Down Offer to Join Twitter’s Board of Directors

Elon Musk, the biggest shareholders in social network and micrologging platform Twitter Inc. (TWRT) has turned down an offer to join the company’s board after the billionaire bought 9.2% shares making him the biggest shareholder in the company further giving him a direct ticket to the company’s board of directors.

This turn of events was reported by Twitter’s chief executive officer, Parag Agrawal, who said they had lengthily talks with Musk he however failed to reveal the reason as to why Musk turned down the appointment to the company’s board.

According to Agrawal, the planned appointment was due to take effect starting from April 9, nonetheless, Musk is listed as a member of Twitters board of directors on the company’s official website.

I believe this is for the best. There will be distractions ahead, but our goals and priorities remain unchanged,” said Argawal.
