CNN Set to Launch News and Entertainment Streaming Service CNN+

Leading American media company Cable News Network (CNN) has confirmed that it will be launching news and entertainment streaming service dubbed ‘CNN+’ later this month. The service will be launched at an initial discounted monthly subscription fee of $2.99.

CNN will be offering the promotional price to those who sign up within the first four weeks after the launch of CNN+. One the period lapses, the company will revert to the monthly subscription fee of $5.99.

According to CNN, CNN+ will be featuring daily news programming, original series, true crime shows and food and travel. This announcement comes at a time when the prominent media company is facing top managerial challenges considering that its former chief executive officer Jeff Zucker, stepped down at the beginning of last month.

Zucker had to leave the company after failing to disclose a romantic relationship with a colleague, Allison Gollust.

CNN however failed to provide an exact date when the launch will take place but the company had previously announced the launch will be happening in the current first quarter this year.
