Apple Stops All Products Sales in Russia

United States based tech giant and producer of consumer electronics Apple Inc. (AAPL) has halted all product sales in Russia following recent events where Russia invaded its neighbor Ukraine. The iPhone manufacturer says this move is its response to the invasion.

We are deeply concerned about the Russian invasion of Ukraine and stand with all of the people who are suffering as a result of the violence. We are supporting humanitarian efforts, providing aid for the unfolding refugee crisis, and doing all we can to support our teams in the region,” said Apple.

In its statement, Apple noted a number of actions it will be taking as a response to the unfortunate invasion. Some of the actions include, halting all exports into its sales channels in Russia.

Additionally, the company said usage of Apple Pay and other services have been limited in Russia. The Russian state media, RT News and Sputnik News, are no longer available for download from the Apple Store outside Russia.
