Apple’s Staff Will Now be Required to Present Proof of Booster Shot

Giant tech company and manufacturer of iPhone Apple Inc. (AAPL) will now require its employees to present a proof of having received a COVID-19 booster shot. This information was first published on The Verge who claimed to have sourced it from an internal memo from the company.

According to the memo, starting from January 24, unvaccinated employees of the company and those who haven’t presented their vaccination certificates will need to test negative for COVID-19 so as to be allowed to enter the company’s workplaces.

Due to waning efficacy of the primary series of COVID-19 vaccines and the emergence of highly transmissible variants such as Omicron, a booster shot is now part of staying up to date with your COVID-19 vaccination to protect against severe disease,” read the memo.

It’s still unclear if the testing requirement is applicable to both cooperate and retail employees of Apple.
