Christian Baesler Appointed the New COO of BuzzFeed

U.S based internet media, news and entertainment company BuzzFeed Inc. (BZFD) announced having appointed Christian Baesler as its new chief operating officer (COO). This appointment comes barely a month after the company went public on Nasdaq.

Before this appointment, BuzzFeed had stayed for seven years without a COO following the resignation of former COO, Jon Steinberg, back in 2014. Beasler joined BuzzFeed last month after it acquired Complex Networks in which Baesler is the chief executive officer.

Complex Networks is a New York based media and entertainment company for youth culture. Baesler has worked in the company since 2018 and he will continue serving as the CEO of the company.

The company went public on December 6 with its stock going for $10.95 at the opening bell. The stock tumbled 17% on its first day even more worse, the stock has now declined over 51% since its market debut.
