Intel Launches a Special Graphics Chip for PC Gaming

American technology company and world leading chip manufacturer Intel Corp. (INTC) has launched graphics chips aimed at supporting PC gaming. Over the years, computer gaming segment has been experiencing significant growth, fellow chip manufacturer Nvidia Corp. (NVDA) has been dominating this segment.

These new chips by Intel are called Arc graphic chips and they are made in such a way to help video games and other content to look more realistic. This is the first time Intel is engaging in manufacturing of gaming intended chips the company says it has already started shipping the new chips.

Intel made this revelation during the Consumer Electronics Show held this week further adding that it has reached deals with computer manufacturers to offer the chips on 50 different models.

Among the PC manufacturers that Intel will be supplying with the chips include; Dell Technologies Inc. (DELL), Lenovo Group Ltd (HKG: 0992) and South Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics Co. (KRX: 005930).
