The chief medical advisor to the President of United States Dr. Anthony Fauci says that it is highly likely that the increase of the COVID-19 Omicron variant across the United States might peak by the end of January.
The Omicron variant as indeed taken the world by storm due to its unique property of spreading faster than any other variant of the coronavirus recorded so far. Dr. Fauci made this announcement last week while on an interview with CNBC News a few days before 2021 wrapped up.
“I would imagine given the size of our country, and the diversity of vaccination versus not vaccination, that it’s likely to be more than a couple of weeks, probably by the end of January,” said Fauci.
