American world leading media company Cable News Network (CNN) will be closing its United States offices to most of its employees following increasing cases of COVID-19 new infections. The company made this announcement through an internal memo it sent during the past weekend further stating that non-essential employees will be the most affected by the move.
“CNN, part of AT&T Inc.’s (T) Warner Media division, will close its offices to all employees who do not have work in the office,” read the Memo.
Also in the memo, the company’s president Jeff Zucker, says the company resulted to take this move out of an abundance of caution and going forward any employee who wants to come to the company will be required to wear a mask at all times.
“We are doing this out of an abundance of caution. And it will also protect those who will be in the office by minimizing the number of people who are there,” said Zucker.
In addition, the memo says that CNN will be making some changes to its studios and control rooms to minimize the number of people at the offices.
