Apple Says Its Workers Have the Right to Discuss Salaries and Working Conditions

Leading tech giant Apple Inc. (AAPL) has told its employees that it’s within their rights to discuss their wages and working conditions at the company. Apple issued this statement following a number of workers who have been striking without revealing much to the public due to the company’s reputation for secrecy. Apple made this announcement through its internal website

This comes at a time when workers from Apple have been pushing for measures to be put in place to make sure that the unfair gaps in wages across the different pay grades in the company have been filled.

According to the post on the Apple’s internal website, the company says its policies don’t prohibit employees from speaking freely about working conditions and wages at the IPhone manufacturer.

We encourage any employee with concerns to raise them in the way they feel most comfortable, internally or externally,” says the post.

Further citing Apple’s business conduct policy, it states that workers are not prohibited from discussing wages, hours and working conditions which is also protected by the laws of United States.
