China Asks U.S Officials to Stop All Official Interaction With Taiwan

China’s foreign ministry has asked the United States government to stop all forms of formal interactions with Taiwan. The Chinese authorities made this announcement on November 10 alleging that a U.S. congressional delegation visit to Taiwan violates the One China policy.

“It is a dangerous game to collude with pro-independence forces in Taiwan,” said China’s foreign ministry spokesperson, Wang Wenbin.

Taiwan claims that it’s an independent country and it will go to any length to defend its democracy and freedom against outsiders. On the other hand, China hasn’t ruled out using force to bring Taiwan under its control.

In recent times, tensions between Taiwan and china have been piling up following repeated missions by China’s air force near Taiwan which China claims as its own.
