Shopify Partners With Microsoft and Oracle to Enable Merchants Streamline Operations

Canada based e-commerce company Shopify Inc. (SHOP) has entered into a partnership with Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) and fellow tech company Oracle Corp. (ORCL) which will enable merchants on Shopify’s platform to streamline their business operations.

This partnership will enable business owners on Shopify’s platform to access Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) including Oracle NetSuite, Infor and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central on the Shopify app.

Before this integration, Shopify merchants were relying on third-party applications to connect to their Shopify ERP tools which range from inventory management systems to financial trackers.

This partnership is expected to help Shopify double its merchant business which has been growing beyond leaps and bounds in recent times, it will also place the company in a better position to compete with other industry peers like giant online retailer Amazon Inc. (AMZN).

Shopify provides necessary tools for retailers to set up their stores online and generate revenue majorly through subscriptions and merchant services.
