Amazon to Create 1,500 Jobs in the UAE Before the Year is Over

Leading online retailer also engaging in cloud computing, artificial intelligence and online streaming Amazon Inc. (AMZN) says that it will create direct and indirect job opportunities for 1,500 people in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) before the year is over.

The company says it’s seeking to expand its presence in the Middle East country and this new jobs will come from expansion of its delivery and storage facilities. The company however failed to give more clear details on the jobs like how many will be direct and indirect.

Amazon will open four new delivery stations, boosting last-mile capabilities to speed up deliveries and reach more customers. The expansion also creates additional jobs through its sellers and delivery partners,” said Amazon in a statement.

In the beginning of the year, Amazon Web Services announced it would be launching three data centers in the UAE during the first half of 2022.
