IBM Will Only Allow Fully Vaccinated Workers Back to Office Come September 7

United Sates based technology company largely engaged in computer hardware International Business Machine Corp. (IBM) issued a statement saying that come September 7 it will only allow fully vaccinated U.S employees to go back to their offices which are set to re-open on the said date.

This decision has been arrived upon due to the rapid spread of the brutal Delta variant of COVID-19 which has proved to be the most deadly variant of the virus.

We will still open many of our U.S. sites, where local clinical conditions allow, the week of Sept. 7. However, the reopening will only be for fully vaccinated employees who choose to come into the office,” read a memo send to IBM employees.

The United States has been recording a resurgence of COVID-19 cases due to the delta variant. This has resulted to the U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issuing new guidelines requiring fully vaccinated persons to resume wearing of masks.

IBM joins the band wagon of giant technology company which are taking measures to combat spread of the virus. The company has also urged its employees to get fully vaccinated.
