Leading e-commerce giant and technology company Amazon Inc. (AMZN) has issued fresh orders for its United States based employees directing them to mandatory wear masks when at work regardless of whether one is vaccinated or not.
The company makes this announcement at the wake of the deadly Delta variant which is proving to be more brutal and ruthless to the human body than the other variants.
Last week, Amazon declared that going forward all its new recruits must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before they assume their respective positions at the company.
“We are monitoring the situation closely and will continue to follow local government guidance and work closely with leading medical healthcare professionals, gathering their advice and recommendations as we go forward to ensure our buildings are optimized for the safety of our teams,” said the company.
The giant online retailer also extended its work from home dates for its United States workers up to January 3, next year.
