Disney Declares Mandatory Vaccination For U.S On-Site Employees

Mass media, production and entertainment company Walt Disney Co. (DIS) announced a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination for its United States on-site salaried and non-union hourly employees. The company said employees who have not been vaccinated have up to 60 days to take the shot.

Employees who aren’t already vaccinated and are working on-site will have 60 days from today to complete their protocols and any employees still working from home will need to provide verification of vaccination prior to their return, with certain limited exceptions,” said Disney.

In addition, the company said going forward all new recruited employees will have to be fully vaccinated before they take up their respective positions in the company.

Last week, U.S health authorities directed that all fully vaccinated Americans should resume wearing masks in indoor public places around regions where the virus is spreading rampantly.

Recently, a number of high profile U.S corporates have been making it mandatory for tier employees to be fully vaccinated if they want to return to tier offices. Among these companies include; Facebook Inc. (FB), Uber Technologies Inc. (UBER) and Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) among others.
