In the last two days, the unexpected news of billionaire Bill Gates and Melinda Gates getting divorced has indeed been the most talked about development around the world.
In there 27 years of marriage, the two had two managed to set up The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, a world leading private charitable foundation. This initiative made them a powerful and influential duo in global public health.
Well the duo has announced that following their divorce they will still continue to run the charitable organization thus, any beneficiaries of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation should not worry as everything will still continue running normally.
In the past ten years, the two have pumped in over $50 billion in the foundation which mainly focuses on introducing a business approach to curbing poverty and diseases across the world.
In a public issued statement, the Gates foundation said Bill Gates and Melinda will remain as trustees and co-chairs of the organization.
“They will continue to work together to shape and approve foundation strategies, advocate for the foundation’s issues, and set the organization’s overall direction,” said the Foundation.
