Iran has made it crystal clear that it won’t be stopping its 20% uranium enrichment until when the United States lifts all sanctions against the Asian country. This was announced by Iran state TV.
“A senior Iranian official tells Press TV that Tehran will stop its 20% uranium enrichment only if the U.S. lifts ALL its sanctions on Iran first,” said the Iran press TV.
This has been prompted by news doing rounds that President’s Biden administration is planning to offer Iran a new proposal to kick off talks between the two countries which have been hostile against each other since U.S pulled out of the 2015 nuclear deal.
Washington is seeking to engage Iran concerning both sides resuming partnership in Iran’s nuclear development program which was brought to a halt during the administration of former U.S President Donald Trump.
In addition, the state media said failure of the U.S to lift all sanctions will prompt Iran to cut down its commitment towards the 2015 nuclear deal.
“The official said Tehran will further reduce its commitments under the 2015 nuclear deal if the U.S. does not lift all sanctions, warning that Washington is rapidly running out of time,” added the State TV.
