Amazon to Drop QAnon Products from its Platform Following Capitol Chaos

Leading online retailer Amazon Inc. (AMZN) will be removing QAnon products from its various platforms including its stores and online marketplace.

Amazon claims that after some extensive scrutiny it found out that QAnon followers were part of last week’s chaos and violence at Capitol in which five people lost their lives.

It’s for this reason that Amazon finds QAnon liable of violating its policies that bar offensive items or any other inappropriate contents across it platforms.

Followers of QAnon have been pushing conspiracies shared by the anonymous ‘Q’ across social media platforms. These posts from ‘Q’ claim to have insider information of the administration of outgoing U.S President Donald Trump.

Among the baseless conspiracy theories being spread by ‘Q’ is that President Trump is secretly fighting a protected political group who are child-sex predators. Among members in the group include, high ranking Democrats in the United States.

This announcement came after social network Twitter Inc. (TWTR) removed over 70,000 QAnon accounts linked to the riots in Capital few days ago.
