Apple Puts Its Supplier Pegatron on Probation Following Policy Violation

IPhone manufacture Apple Inc. (AAPL) has placed its Taiwan based supplier Pegatron Corp. (4938) on probation after discovering the company violated its supplier’s code of conduct.

The violation in question is related to a student worker program said the tech giant.

Several weeks ago, we discovered Pegatron – one of Apple’s suppliers in China – violated Apple’s Supplier Code of Conduct in its administration of a student work study program,” said Apple.

Additionally, Apple said Pegatron won’t be receiving any new business from them until it takes corrective measures to make up for the violation.

Apple has placed Pegatron on probation and Pegatron will not receive any new business from Apple until they complete all of the corrective actions required,” added Apple.
