German based medical technology company Siemens Healthineers AG (SHLH) is looking forward to purchase manufacturer of cancer treating devices and software company Varian Medical System Inc. (VAR).
People involved in the matter have revealed talks on the same are on advanced stages coming to an end and the deal will be worth $15 billion.
The sources said the deal might be made public in the coming week however the talks can fall apart.
Varian specializes in developing and distributing cancer treatment equipment and currently has 10,000 employees. The Palo Alto, California based company reported total revenue of $3.2 billion last year.
On the other side, Siemens Helthineers engages in production of ultrasound, MRI and X-Ray equipment.
