Surprisingly, several Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) rivals are taking sides with it in the court battle. Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL) had moved to court wanting Google to be brought to account. The judge needs to decide. In this regard, it will be important to establish several things regarding the case. The most important is on whether or not one single company can have ownership of the basic commands in language coding.
The case proves to be a matter of great concern
All eyes are fixated to the Supreme Court to see parties converge on a common quest to have the court strike out Oracle’s case. Some of these parties include major businesses, many academics, and several advocacy groups.
These outside groups made their filings, and most of them fear that Google loss would end up hurting them a great deal. Google is the powerhouse of computing in its entirety, and they are urging the court to be more considerate in its decision.
IBM (NYSE:IBM) and Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) have been at the frontline in supporting Google in the lawsuit. The Internet Association and CCIA are also involved in the matter and are taking Google’s side. There are also some two trade groups involved; they are a reflection of the thoughts of a large number of businesses in the tech industry.

Scholars haven’t been left behind as well. Reports indicate that 72 of them are from the intellectual property segment, whereas some other 83 are from the computer segment, and all of them want the court to rule in favor of Google.
This is a matter of significant interest and considering that even the less intuitive groups have moved out to make their filings. Just like the rest, they want Google to take the day in this controversial case.
