The war is raging between Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN), and Disney over the former’s demand for more ad space inventory. According to WSJ, Walt Disney Co (NYSE:DIS) has resisted the move of Amazon for a large chunk of the ad space on Disney Apps. It could affect the future screening of Disney Apps on the Fire TV of Amazon. The latest move of Amazon would also affect Disney+, an upcoming streaming service.

According to WSJ, Amazon starts the negotiation for 40% of the ad inventory, and the programmers would drop it down. But, Disney feels that it’s upcoming Disney+ and well-known apps would give it an upper hand. In the recent discussion, Disney has agreed to provide 10% of the ad space inventory to Amazon. If Disney fails to reach an agreement with Amazon, its apps would be removed from Fire TV.

Fire TV – the second-largest distributor

Amazon’s Fire TV ranks second in the distribution of streaming TV apps for Disney Channel, ESPN, ABC, and Disney’s.

Slated for November 12, 2019, launch, Disney+ would be available at a monthly charge of $6.99. The viewers can watch content from Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, and Disney.

Disney says no to Netflix advertising

According to WSJ, Disney decided to stop advertising for Netflix with just a month away for launching Disney+. Netflix and Disney will compete with each other when the later introduces Disney+ on November 12, 2019. The streaming plan of Disney comprises ESPN+, Hulu, and Disney+. For Disney to return to black, Disney+ should become profitable. Netflix shares are under pressure on fierce competition from Disney. The monthly charge for Disney+ is $6.99. To compete with Disney, Netflix should lower its monthly rates.
